This blog will be on hiatus while my almost-three-year-old son R heads to the hospital for his third open-heart operation. Thursday will include a 10+ hour day at the hospital for a cardiac catheterization and other tests in preparation for surgery, which is set for March 9. If you are interested in regular updates regarding R's health, please
visit R's blog often.
Hope it all goes well. Thanks for the link to Riley's blog.
ReplyDeleteBeen keeping up with the latest on Riley's blog. You must be exhausted! I'm so sorry to hear that the surgery had to be rescheduled. :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to his blog. You've been in my thoughts.
I just found your blog. My second son has HLHS - is 2+yrs post-Fontan and a 4 1/2 yr old comedy routine. Our second surgery was postponed (surgeons had an emergency case - we were pushed back 2 weeks). People don't get how stressful it is. I also read your post about the fetal echo being okay but your qualms. When my daughter was born the drs. were very patronizing about our concerns that she was blue. Then when she turned out to have a murmur (innocent thank goodness) I almost felt vindicated.
ReplyDeleteAnyway - best of luck w/the Fontan and the future.

Best of luck with the surgery; I hope it all goes well.
